Join Trogon Tours, Inc. for a wonderful 2 week journey through Central and Northern Thailand next January.
About Thailand - Thailand is a tremendous country for a nature tour. There is abundant bird life, numerous mammals, ancient ruins, culture and great food and accommodation. Over 920 species of birds have been recorded there. Some spectacular birds that participants will have a good chance of seeing and/or photographing include several species of hornbill, trogons, kingfishers, Indian Roller, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Blue Pitta and Mrs. Gould's Sunbird. Participants have an excellent chance of seeing and/or photographing many species of mammals as well. 3 species of deer, several different monkeys, gibbons and giant flying squirrels are mammals which we have an excellent chance of seeing. We also have a reasonable chance of seeing wild Asian Elephants.
About Trogon Tours and Thailand - We led this tour in 2009 and it was very successful. Nate Chappell has made 9 trips to Thailand in the past 9 years. He knows the wildlife and birds of the country very well. He and Angie are excited about passing on their knowledge of Thailand's nature to the tour participants. Ian, a British birder and photographer living in Thailand will be one of our guides. We will have 1 to 2 Thai nature guides with us the whole tour.
